EDiS worked with Delle Donne Associates to transform the AstraZeneca Complex into Avenue North. This transformation is a compelling narrative of how urban spaces can be reimagined and adapted to better cater to the needs of the community, while simultaneously setting the tone for a more comprehensive and interconnected urban experience.
Avenue North is not an ordinary real estate project. It is a unique campus that combines work, live, shop, and play, providing office spaces for professionals, offering a diverse range of shopping and commercial opportunities, creating living spaces for residents, and establishing recreational areas for leisure and enjoyment.
Avenue North’s live-work-play concept is a growing trend in community and urban design philosophy. Instead of separating functions into separate spaces, this project takes a new approach to encourage collaboration among these elements. It’s not just about erecting buildings; it’s about nurturing an environment where people can seamlessly transition from their professional lives to leisure activities, and finally back to the comfort of their homes.
The Tower at Avenue North is a 12 story, 100,000 SF commercial office building. The goal was for the Tower to stand out – and that meant EDiS had to raise the site to 15 feet above street level before construction on the tower began.
