Building

a new home for Solenis.

In February 2019, Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals for water intensive industries, announced that it would be moving its global headquarters from Beaver Valley Road to the Avenue North complex in Wilmington, Delaware. Solenis’ newly leased office pavilion, now known as Solenis World Headquarters, grew from an empty building in July 2019 to a beautiful new office space by the end of the year. EDiS provided construction management services for the 88,000 SF office fit-out in the heart of the Avenue North complex. The completed Solenis Global Headquarters is the workplace for more than 200 Delaware employees, and houses a multitude of departments and business lines within Solenis as well as their executive team. All work was closely coordinated with the project management and design team as the plans are developed and was completed on time and within budget.

Building

award winning projects.

EDiS Company was honored to receive a Construction Excellence Award from the Delaware Contractors Association (DCA) for this project. These awards are given to recognize projects that bring distinction, skill, and integrity to the construction industry in Delaware. Solenis World Headquarters represents the time, dedication, and hard work that went into this project and reflects the quality of safety, design, and teamwork that EDiS Company is known for.

Building

with brand in mind.

The installations for Solenis World Headquarters were intended to be a representation of their mission to provide quality water treatment in water-intensive industries. Solenis’ focus on the most current technology mixed with environmental sustainability meant the décor would have to be both practical and sophisticated. This is made apparent from the moment one walks in the front door; from the smooth white and blue walls with mounted televisions to the Solenis symbol integrated into the very fabric of the building. Even the lobby lighting could be interpreted as bodies of water. EDiS oversaw the installation and integration of water-like designs and Solenis branding throughout the entirety of the building. Establishing such a strong brand identity makes Solenis World Headquarters a place where both employees and visitors can truly understand the company’s mission.

“Our new home truly reflects the personality of Solenis, while giving our employees a collaborative, world-class place to achieve our goals. We applaud the EDiS team for delivering on our vision in a spectacular fashion, while on a tight deadline.”

Building

on a tight schedule.

This project was set to be completed and occupied within six months from the start. EDiS was able to achieve this desired completion date because they made sure that all players on the team understood that coordination and cooperation were essential to success. The designers and owners both understood that the challenges of a full-building renovation would need careful and quick attention to meet the demanding schedule. Inspection agencies were notified up front of the schedule and requirements for intermittent visits. The Solenis project called for an interior glass wall system and furniture installations that were identified early on as having potential long lead times. Using the lead times for both of those products as a guide and then adding in additional long lead times for the other materials for the rest of the tasks, EDiS was able to craft a master schedule with detailed work by floor. Targeted dates for staggered system furniture arrivals and installations were met as well.
