EDiS Company provided construction management services of estimating, scheduling, value engineering, quality control, and field management for this 86,000 square foot facility built on budget and time in under 20 months.

The Mechanical Engineering Department is located in Spencer Laboratory, within the College of Engineering cluster on the main campus of the University of Delaware. The facility houses specialized laboratories for a wide range of teaching and research functions—from applied mechanics, robotics, air pollution, combustion, materials processing, impact physics, and computational and experimental fluid mechanics. Computers and software are available to support numerically intensive research and coursework for both undergraduate and graduate level activities and to provide information exchange services for departmental coursework, research, and administration. In addition, all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the University of Delaware are eligible to work in the student machine shop.
