As part of Capital School District’s 2010 Referendum, EDiS Company provided construction management services to build two new facilities on the same site: a new 30,000 SF Administration and Professional Development Center, and a new 6,000 SF Maintenance Facility.

The Administration and Professional Development Center building is sectioned, with the administrative side including departmental offices and workspace in two stories. The Professional Development Center includes conference space for board meetings and other large functions with a maximum capacity of 270 people, or for smaller functions by utilizing the partitionable space. It also includes a training center that can accommodate 80 occupants. The facility is equipped with wireless and multimedia technology to support any audio-visual component as well as card access and security systems. The mechanical systems were designed to allow for the operation of meeting rooms, training areas, and restrooms to be separate from the remainder of the building to facilitate weekend and after-hours operation.

The new Maintenance Facility not only holds the school district’s Maintenance Department, it also houses the Office of Technology. The technology includes state-of-the-art voice over IP phone systems, wireless data, multimedia conferencing, and security systems.
