Brian DiSabatino – A Fulfilling Year of Service With DCA

December 14, 2020 • 2 MIN READ

At Delaware Contractors Association’s (DCA) final Board of Directors meeting of 2020, outgoing President and EDiS CEO Brian DiSabatino welcomed incoming President and ModernControls CEO Mike Peet. Brian DiSabatino served DCA during an unprecedented period. Over this past year his leadership has not only helped keep construction going through efforts like the COVID-19 Safety video he made for DCA in the late spring, it enabled him to push forward his vision of expanding opportunities for non-traditional workers in the construction industry. Brian would like to thank all those in the Delaware community, construction or otherwise, that helped propel Delaware forward and not back this year.

When offices closed, the majority of EDiS’ in-house team members were able to transition quickly to work safely at home. The immediate priority, then, was for Brian to help site teams, clients, and contractors to stay safe as well. Guidelines were constantly evolving, recommendations were changing, and misinformation was rampant. Here are just a few of the ways former DCA President Brian DiSabatino helped to get the health and safety message out to those who needed it:

EDiS issued a Spanish-language video to educate on safe jobsite practices to ensure that language was not a barrier to safety.

A poster with a visual display of COVID-19 safety protocols was created by EDiS in both English and Spanish and distributed to multiple associations and businesses like the DCA to help flatten the curve and keep workers healthy.

That same visual display of COVID-19 safety protocols was also printed on job site banners and installed at each active job site run by the EDiS team.

Brian released a message to the Delaware community as DCA President.

President DiSabatino’s leadership has been, and President Peet’s leadership will be, important to keeping the construction industry a prominent contributor to Delaware’s economy. But as we all know, it takes a team to have a real impact. This week, the board also voted on the membership of DCA’s Executive Committee. A special thank you is owed to these members who take on extra responsibilities to ensure DCA continues to be recognized as the Voice of Construction in Delaware. EDiS Company would like to thank the following 2021 DCA Executive Committee members in anticipation of their service:
