Superintendent II

Based on Project Assignment

Superintendent II

Do you know your way around a job site like it’s second nature? Can you spot issues before they happen, keep teams moving, and still have time to update the daily log? We have an open job for a Superintendent II who can bring organization, leadership, and deep field knowledge to our growing roster of projects.

At EDiS, our Superintendents are more than schedule enforcers—they’re culture carriers, relationship builders, and the eyes and ears of the project site. As a Superintendent II, you’ll oversee multiple trades and subcontractors, manage daily operations, and collaborate closely with Project Managers and the QA/QC team to ensure our projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

If you’ve led job sites on projects over $5M, thrive in the middle of the action, and know how to guide a team through the messy day-to-day challenges of construction while keeping the big picture in focus, this might be the right fit for you!

Your priorities will be:

  • Site Quarterback: Lead the daily operations of the job site, keeping subcontractors coordinated, informed, and moving in the right direction.
  • Safety Commander: Conduct daily safety inspections and make real-time calls to keep everyone protected and in compliance.
  • Master of the Clock: Develop and manage short- and long-term schedules that keep your project ahead of the game (or at least on time).
  • Mentor in the Mud: Guide and support field team members, from Project Engineers to other Supers—because we build people as much as buildings.
  • Quality Collaborator: Partner with the QA/QC and BIM teams to make sure every installation is as good in real life as it looked on paper.
  • Closeout Closer: Own the punchlist and project turnover process, making sure we wrap with excellence and leave clients smiling.

What’s your first step?

Typically, our hiring process follows the order below. We won’t move you on to the next round unless we’re serious about it, and we’ll let you know where you stand.

  1. First, we’ll review your resume. If you haven’t included references, you may be asked for them.
  2. Next, you’ll be invited to schedule a 30-minute screening call with a member of our team.

Day to Day you will:

  • Zoom In, Zoom Out: Start your day with a big-picture mindset and shift into the details—whether you’re double-checking a duct install or reviewing site logistics with your crew.
  • Get Those Steps In: Walk the site regularly to observe progress, check quality, and keep a pulse on what your team and trade partners need to stay effective.
  • Lead with Presence: Be the calm, confident presence others look to for answers, direction, and encouragement—especially when things get chaotic.
  • Keep the Receipts: Stay on top of field logs, manpower tracking, and daily reports so nothing slips through the cracks (and you’re never caught off guard).
  • Stay Inspection-Ready: Coordinate and prep for state and local inspections so they’re smooth, successful, and never slow you down.
  • Tidy Up Like a Pro: Set the tone for a safe, clean, and professional jobsite—because the details matter and the small things add up.
  • Leave No Detail Behind: Support punchlist prep throughout the project, not just at the end, so there are fewer surprises (and more high fives) at closeout.

Your Skills Look Like:

  • Jobsite Pro: You know your way around construction documents, field coordination, and logistics like the back of your hand.
  • Schedule Savvy: Skilled in short- and long-term scheduling with tools like Microsoft Project and BIM/VDC platforms.
  • Protector of People: We take safety seriously, and so do you. You are the protector of everyone on site!
  • Communicator in Chief: Clear, professional communication with everyone from clients to contractors to internal teams. Your Ops Manager and PM are never out of the loop.
  • Tech-Enabled: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, BIM/VDC tools, and field reporting software.
  • Adaptable Leader: Calm under pressure, flexible when the plan changes, and proactive in solving problems.
  • Mentor Mindset: You don’t just manage people—you help them grow.

Your Experience Looks Like:

  • 5–10 years of field leadership experience as a Superintendent, managing job sites for projects over $5M.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field—or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
  • Experience working with multiple delivery methods (GC, CM, Design-Build).
  • Knowledge of specialty systems (MEP, building envelope).
  • OSHA 30-hour, CPR, and First Aid certified (or ready to be).

Your Benefits Look Like:

  • Medical and Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) match
  • Wellness Program
  • Short & Long Term Disability
  • Maternity & Paternity Leave
  • Tuition reimbursement program.
