BIM Technician
As an AMP Consulting Team BIM Technician, Drew Kite combines his mechanical engineering background with his enthusiasm for 3D modeling and virtual design. A graduate of the University of Delaware, Drew gained early experience designing and fabricating innovative mechanical systems, including drone and automated filling machine prototypes, before transitioning into construction technology.
At AMP, Drew is particularly drawn to creating comprehensive 3D building models that go beyond individual systems, coordinating structures, finishes, and MEP components into a seamless virtual environment. His technical skills span SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CNC machining, 3D printing, and advanced simulation programs like FEA and CFD, giving him a unique ability to visualize and resolve potential challenges before they reach the field.
Drew values consistency, strong time management, and continuous learning—qualities that serve him well in the fast-evolving world of virtual design and construction. He enjoys seeing how technology can transform coordination, communication, and efficiency for clients and project teams. For Drew, BIM is not just about modeling; it’s about helping clients understand exactly how their buildings will look and function before ground is even broken.
