EDiS Company was hired to upgrade the existing Old Brick Church in Dover, DE to meet current ADA standards. Exterior improvements consisted of removing the existing brick pavers and regrading the path from the Johnson Victrola Museum parking lot to the primary entrances of the building. This helped to meet the maximum slope permitted by all applicable accessibility requirements for a sloped walk. The pavers on the east side of the building were salvaged and reused in the final layout. The existing stone landings at the two entrances were relocated. A low retaining wall consisting of the segmented CMU located at the west side of the walk was provided. Trench drains were also installed under the walkway allowing the downspouts to drain on the north side of the walk. A new light post was also installed at the primary entrance.
