EDiS Company was proud to be at the forefront of a transformative project at Hagley Museum and Library that seamlessly combines historical reverence with modern functionality. Venturing into the heart of a storied 1800’s barn, we meticulously curated a blend of old and new. Our latest endeavor involved merging two ground-floor spaces at Hagley Museum into a singular, immersive car exhibit space spanning 2,000 square feet.
The heart of this project lay in introducing a heating and cooling system to this timeless structure. With the implementation of a VRF mechanical system, paired with dehumidification units, we ensure a consistent ambient temperature throughout the year, even during the more humid summer months. This advanced system not only guarantees a comfortable environment for visitors but also safeguards the treasured Museum exhibits from potential humidity-induced damage.
In tandem with these upgrades, we’ve illuminated the space with tailored exhibit lighting that accentuates the beauty of the vehicles on display. The architectural finishes have been tastefully upgraded, striking the perfect balance between preserving the barn’s historical charm and meeting contemporary standards.
Our enduring partnership with Hagley stands as a testament to our shared vision of preserving and enhancing their rich historical legacy. Over the years, this relationship with Hagley Museum has been built on trust, mutual respect, and a collective aim to immortalize the past while paving the way for future innovations.
