Saving money, accelerating schedules, and reducing operating costs are the focus of EDiS Building Systems.
Our design professionals focus on design-build solutions for our commercial, recreational and industrial clients.
Using Butler pre-engineered components for structural, roof and wall systems is frequently the optimum solution for our customers.
Our MR-24 roof system is the most specified standing seam roof in the industry and our Korteck wall panel system is a mold-resistant, pre-engineered, one-step replacement for conventional framing components.
The 30,000-sf St. E Center is a prime example of the design flexibility of Butler-designed facilities. The multi-use facility includes seven Widespan Structural System framed units. The roof is clad with the Butler CMR-24 roofing system and the walls are composed of Butlerib and flat and fluted Stylwall panel. To help absorb sound in the Gym, Butler included a perforated interior liner panel on the roof and walls.
This 120,000-sf facility was provided to Unibev using the Butler Landmark long bay building system. A single-slope, MR-24 standing seam roof and framing system were designed to allow for future expansion at a later date. The facility is now owned and operated by Tastybake.
The Riverwalk Centre is one of several Butler multistory framing systems provided by EDiS Building Systems in the region. The 45,000-sf building was designed and constructed on an extremely fast schedule. EDiS Building Systems supported that effort by taking the structural steel off of the critical path, helping to complete the project months ahead of normal design-bid-build process.
Delaware River and Bay Authority was having trouble with their hangar expansion program at New Castle Airport. Construction progress was slower than expected and the quality of pre-engineered buildings being erected was less than they had expected. EDiS Building Systems was given an opportunity to provide DRBA with a Butler-designed solution which would be erected under the guidance of the EBS staff. The 24,000-sf Widespan project was so successful that DRBA enlisted EDiS Building Systems to complete six additional hangars complete with MR-24 roofing and Shadowall wall paneling systems. In addition, DRBA has made Butler the vendor of choice for all of their pre-engineered building system projects.
"You can't beat Butler Building design and EDiS "value engineering" when you need to achieve the maximum esthetic effect and square footage for the minimum amount of dollars and you're also trying to construct a building which will stand the test of time."
"Butler systems make a very well-designed rink. Skating is a huge liability sport, and maintaining the ice in perfect condition is very important. A (roof) leak over a rink will melt a hole straight through to the concrete beneath. Our first building is about 5 years old and we haven’t discovered a leak."
"Pre-engineered building systems require a level of expertise in the ordering process that the contractor’s representatives acquire as they come to understand the product. It is paramount that the owner’s design requirements are communicated properly in the ordering process. EDiS Building Systems has continued to provide Butler with clear building orders that have resulted in numerous successful projects for both EDiS and Butler. You can be assured that using EDiS Building Systems to order your Butler Building will lead to another building success story."
