Specifics:

The Delaware Welcome Center, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certified building, will include a new 42,000 sf main building along with a 5,700 sf fuel facility. The building will be home to a new Delaware State Visitor Center, which will provide information on local and statewide attractions, events and activities. Other items of interest include:

  • Food outlets including; Baja Fresh, Z Market, Starbucks, Burger King, Brioche Doree Bakery CafĂ©, Cinnabon and Famous
  • Famiglia Pizza
  • Building incorporates energy and water conservation along with use of recycled and regional building material
  • New Sunoco fuel facility will include 21 pumps, high-speed diesel dispenser and an A Plus convenience stor
  • Parking upgrades to handle the 3 million annual visitor
  • 50 spaces of Cabaire truck parking that use anti-idle truck electrification hookups
  • Construction of new facility will create more than 250 jobs
